James H. Moor is the Daniel P. Stone Professor in Intellectualand Moral Philosophy at Dartmouth College. He is a leading expert on ethics and artificial intelligence. He has written numerous articles on the philosophy of artificial intelligence and on computer ethics. His book The Turing Test: The Elusive Standard of Artificial Intelligence is a standard in the field. For almost a decade, Dr. Moor was Editor-in-Chief of the journal Minds and Machines. He is the recipient of prestigious awards such as the Barwise Prize of the American Philosophical Association and the Metaphilosophy Prize.
